Open Positions and Jobs

Join Us!

Laboratory of Bioelectrochemistry and Interfaces is offering an extensive number of open PhD and postdoctoral positions for candidates worldwide under supervision of Professor Frank Crespilho. There are two steps: 1) Acceptance Position and 2) Fellowship and Enrollment Applications. Sometimes, we have Special Open Call for Position, generally highlighted in the end of this page.

1) Acceptance Position

Interested individuals should send a (i)cover letter, (II) CV and list of publications, and have (III) two letters of recommendation, sent to bioelectrochemistry@iqsc.usp.br. If accepted, the candidate will receive an email from Prof. Crespilho with the procedures to be performed.

2) Fellowship and Enrollment Applications

Being accepted by the group does not infer that the candidate is accepted with a scholarship and/or your enrollment to take effect. For this, candidates need to attend the following procedures:

Doctorate: For doctoral candidates who live outside of Brazil, we suggest the TWAS-CNPq fellowship, which must be applied by yourself. Please, visit TWAS website: http://www.twas.org/opportunity/twas-cnpq-postgraduate-fellowship-programme. Another possibility is to present the GRE chemistry directly to the coordination of post-graduation and wait IQSC position to perform registrations. For a scholarship for doctoral, it is expected students with high-level knowledge in chemistry, English language and able to communicate in Portuguese. For more information, write for spgr@iqsc.usp.br

For Brazilian citizen, the process is described on the website of the graduate. http://spgr.iqsc.usp.br/

Postdoc: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering, electrochemical engineering, or a related field. Experience in basic electrochemistry is required. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills (English language) and excel in a highly collaborative research environment. In addition to the timely publication of research results in peer-reviewed journals, the responsibilities of the postdoc include drafting progress reports. For post-doctoral candidates who live outside of Brazil, we suggest the TWAS-CNPq grants, which must be applied by yourself. Please, visit TWAS website: http://www.twas.org/opportunity/twas-cnpq-postgraduate-fellowship-programme. Also, FAPESP Post-Doctoral Scholarship is aimed at distinguished researchers with a recent doctorate degree and a successful research track record. More information at www.fapesp.br/en/postdoc
